Season on hold. Relocating to North Carolina and hope to go out a couple of times before the end of the year.
June 11th Sharon Speedway- Weekly
The weather was in the area once again. Chris started 3rd in his heat
and that was exactly where he finished. After the re-draw Chris started
10th in the feature.
Chris got a good start. After about 4 laps he found himself running
in the 3rd position. The 10 car tried for about 2 laps to get by and
was not able to pass Chris. Then the 23s came up and made hard contact
with Chris and the 23s and the 10 passed him as he fell back to 5th.
Chris tried to get the 4th spot back from the 23s but was unsuccessful
and finished 5th.
The results were: Heat 1: 1) 23s Randy Sprouse 2)

The short in the car was finally fixed. Chris started 2nd in the first
heat. Right off the start he took over the lead. Chris was able to lead
the first 3 laps as he battled with the #14 over the first 3 and a half
laps. The 14 was able to take over the lead and Chris was able to come
home 2nd in the heat race. It was a good momentum builder after having 2
very bad weeks.
Chris had good thoughts for the feature even though he was to start
10th. He got a very good start and was up battling for a top 5 spot
after turn 2. It was a good battle the entire race for 4th- 9th. Chris'
handling went away about 5 laps into the race as the #7 and Chris made
some contact in turn 2. The contact knocked out the toe on both cars.
Even though there was a late race caution the spots for 4th through 9th
was highly contested. Chris came home 8th. His finishing position should
have been better, but there was just not much room out there on the
track. The results were:

May 28th Sharon Speedway- Weekly The
CRM Team thought that they had the short fixed. As Chris started to
leave the pits the car shorted out again. The Team loaded up and went
back home disappointed
May 21st Sharon Speedway- Weekly The
heat race went as usual with Chris struggling to get through. Going
through turns 3&4 on lap 2 the car just shutdown. An electrical
short had accord and the CRM Team was not able to get it fixed in time
and did not start the feature.
May 14th Sharon Speedway- Weekly Rained Out
May 7th Sharon Speedway- Weekly
What a night. The CRM Team finally broke into the top 5. Chris started
third in the heat races and like all of the heats so far this year it
did not go well. He dropped back and finished 6th. The Team decided to
take all 4 tires off of the car and rethink of what tires to use. They
had the tires all changed up and were ready to go for the feature. Chris
was to start 11th.
As the field took the green flag, the 23s was slow and Chris
clipped him at the start/finish line and blew out the left front tire.
Chris came to a stop in turn one and the yellow came out. He then
hurried back to the pits were the crew with some assistance from the #15
Big Block Team got the tire changed and back out onto the track just in
time. Chris had an amazing battle going on with the #5 and #22 for the
first few laps then he started to pull away when the yellow flew for the
6 car on lap 7. Chris was up to the 8th spot. For the next 4 laps he
was battling with the 7 car until the 7 car blew and right front tire
with one lap to go and brought out the yellow. Chris was now up to 6th.
As the field took the green flag Chris made it up to fifth and then made
a move for fourth and the 4m and the 21J made some contact. Going into
turn 3, Chris and the 21J made some contact and kept making contact all
the way through the corner. As they made their way out of turn 4 they
got hooked and Chris crossed the finish line sideways in 4th place. The
results were:

April 30th Sharon Speedway- Weekly
It was a beautiful day to go to the racetrack. The night looked like it
was going to be a good one for the CRM Team. Chris drew the #10 pill
and that started him 2nd in the 1st heat. On the start he quickly
dropped back to 4th as the acceleration difference was shown between the
auto and manual transmissions. He fought off the 83 cars the rest of
the heat and held on to the 4th position. After the re-draw, he was
slated to start 5th in the feature.
Chris got a decent start, but the 10 passed him going into turn 1.
Chris got a run on the outside of the 10 car and the inside of the 421
car and went up the middle. A little bit of contact was made then coming
off of turn 2 the 10 car laid into the left rear of Chris and tried to
spin him out unsuccessfully. It did drop Chris back to 12th though and
that's where he and the 421 ran until the leaders got all tangled up.
Chris so an opportunity to gain some spots, but the 421 slowed up and
Chris ran into the back of him and spun him out. Chris was only able to
gain 1 more spot as him and the 83 traded some more paint and he
finished 10th with no front bumper cover as it fell off with 2 to go and
bent right front fender, buckled hood, and the left rear corner of the
rear bumper hanging down. It was a rough weekend but hopefully next week
will be better. The results were:

April 23rd Sharon Speedway- Weekly
It was a nice evening. It was warm all day and the clouds rolled in at
race time, but the weather stayed away for some great racing. Chris drew
a bad pill and started 8th in the first heat of 2. The car was on a
rail and he was quickly up to the fourth place when the yellow came out
at halfway. He saw it as an opportunity to possibly steal a heat race
victory. On the restart he got on the gas great then the car in front
brake checked him for no reason and that finished off Chris' amazing
heat race run and almost finished the night as it broke the radiator.
Luckily Chris and the 30m are real good friends and the 30m had one back
home that the Team could use. The driver and crew thrashed all night
and with about 20 mins. to spare they had the car all ready to go and
looking like it hadn't even been in a wreck.
Chris started in 13th place and the car ran as good as it did in
the heat race. He quickly got up to 10th and was catching a pack of 5 or
6 cars. The pack up ahead started getting crazy coming out of turn 2
and they were going all over the place trying to gather their cars back
up. Chris saw a chance to gain some spots and held his foot in it and
got up to 8th. Chirs battled for 6th and 7th the rest of the race, but
due to a late race restart and a bad start Chris settled for 8th. Thanks
again to the 30m for lending the CRM Team a radiator for the night.

April 16th Sharon Speedway- Weekly Racing was canceled.
April 9th Sharon Speedway- Weekly Chris
started 4th in the first heat and it did not go the way that he thought
it would go. Chris dropped straight to the rear and finished 9th in the
heat race. As the crew checked to see what caused the car to run so
slow in the heat race, they found out that the toe was way off after
putting the car back together from the previous weeks wreck. The slated
Chris to start in the 15th position in the feature.
The car ran much better in the feature. When the caution flag came
out after 1 lap in the feature, Chris was up to 13th. Chris hung out
around 11th for a couple of laps then the car came alive. He started
passing cars like they were standing still. He caught the 8th and 9th
place cars after being behind by about half a straight away. Once he
caught them he quickly disposed of them and was about another half a
straight away behind the 7th place car which was the 83 car that he
tangled with the week before. He was not able to catch him. If Chris
could have gotten a caution with about 3 laps to go he could have
possibly had a top 5 finish. Chris is currently 9th in points 15 points
behind the leader.

April 2nd Sharon Speedway- Special Chris
started 5th in the 2nd heat. He quickly moved up to 4th and was all
over the back of the 22 car who was in 3rd. He was trying to get by him
on the outside and they made some contact coming out of turn 2 on the
last lap as Chris had a run on him and he came up running his line and
Chris' LF touched the RR of the 22 car. Chris backed out and settled for
fourth in the heat.
Chris started once again in 5th place for the feature. He got a bad
start as he jumped it just a little and backed out of the throttle.
Going into turn 1 on the 2nd lap he was under the 83 car and the 83 car
came down on Chris and they made contact and the kept making contact
until the 83 car spun up across the track and they made contact again
and the 21 car had no place to go and clipped the RF of Chris' car. The
contact toed the front wheels in and losseend the front bumper. Chris
went into the pits and the crew pulled the front bumper off and told him
that the front end was toed in. He went back out and was running by
himself with the 83 car behind him the rest of the race after the
restart. Coming out of turn 2 on the final lap the RF hub broke
and Chris coasted to and stop and needed toed off of the track as he
finished in 9th placed.

was a wonderful first day of the year. There was rain up till 1 P.M.
with warm temperatures. Thats is much better than it being cold and
snowing. Practice was ran in the rain and Chris was pretty good in both
sessions. He ran the high line going through the corners since there was
no rubber up there so that meant that there would be traction. The rain
stopped before the heat races and Chris was starting 8th in the 1st
heat.
Chris quickly worked his way up to the front of the pack. By about
lap 2 or 3 he was in third place. He was trying to find a way by the
second place driver. The second place driver was slowing him about and
Chris was wearing out his trunk lid since he did not have a rear bumper.
On about lap 6 Chris finally got by and took over second place but it
was to late as the leader was already checked out from the field.
With his second place finish in the heat that slated Chris into the
9th spot for the feature. He didn't get the best of starts and had to
battle all race long for positions. Everybody lost what position Chris
was in as he would gain positions lose some and gain some more. After 20
straight green flag laps Chris finished 6th or 7th and was the first
placed 4 cylinder car. It was a good day and made a nice start for the
2011 season as Chris Roberts Motorsports goes for the Championship at
Sharon Speedway this summer.

September 17-18 Sharon Speedway- Apple Festival
On the 17th Chris ran very well. For the first 10 laps he was all over the back bumper of the 10 car for 2nd. The leader, 30m, got caught up in a wreck with a lapper coming to get 2 laps to go. The moved Chris up to second. The 10 got a jump on the restart and by the time Chris got back to him the checkered flag was waving and Chris finished in 2nd.
On the 18th the CRM Team was just a little off. They just could not get the car to handle like it did the night before. The 10 and the 30m were both in the same boat. After running hard in a battle for 2nd-10th, Chris was able to finish 8th. Yes it wasn't what they wanted, but they were happy just to finish the year with the car still in 1 piece.
September 4 Sharon Speedway- Labour day Special
Chris was in the 2nd heat and was starting 3rd. It was a hard fought battle the entire race as Chris was fighting with the 44 car for the 6th and final position to get into the pill draw for the feature. Chris got back in that situation after getting out of shape to avoid running into the 10 and 30m as they got together in turn 3. Chris finished 7th, but could have had 6th if he would have raced dirty but he has a lot of respect for the driver of the 44 car.
Chris would start the feature in the 12th position. At the very start of the race he got into it with the 77 car as the 77 drove all over Chris's drivers side and Chris put him into the frontstretch wall from the contact. After about 5 laps and getting completely sideways on the track to avoid the 7 car he was still in 12th. On the long green flag run he was the 2nd fastest car on the track as he was moving up through the field. He caught up to the 5th and 6th place cars and made the pass on both of them as the caution came out on lap 12. That moved him back to 7th since the track reverts back to the last completed lap. He was not able to get back by those 2 and finished 8th since he tried an aggressive move going into turn 3 on the last lap to try to get 5th and it resulted in him losing a spot. Next race is during the Apple Fest which takes place on September 17th and the 18th.
August 28 Sharon Speedway- Race # 11
It was Championship night. Chris did not have a chance at catching the top 2 in points, but was in a good position to hold off 4th and 5th to maintain 3rd in points. It started off good in the heat race. Chris started 6th and by lap 2 of a 6 lap race had caught the 22 car for the lead. By lap 3 Chris was in the lead and running away. At the end of the heat he took the checkerd flag with a 3/4 of a straightaway led on the rest of the field.
Chris started in the 3rd spot for the feature. The 23s who was 4th in points was on the outside of him and the 24s who was 5th in points was right behind him. He ran in there samwhich for about 2 laps until they tried to wreck eachother and Chris checked up and got all out of shape but saved it. He had to work his way up through the fieldn from 8th and got by the 22 for 7th after a hard fought battle. After a caution for the 4m and the 23s wrecking Chris found him self in 5th. On a late race restart Chris was watching the leaders and the front 3 went, but the 24s did not. That put Chris into the 4th position, but a pentaly was to come for jumping the start. Chris crossed the line in 6th and was scored 8th after the pentaly. It still resulted in a 3rd place finish in the 2010 SATURDAY NIGHT HOBBY STOCK POINTS.

August 21 Sharon Speedway- Rain
Rain wins again and leaves 1 points race left. Next race and the last points race is August 28th.
August 14 Sharon Speedway- Rain
Chris drew the outside pole for heat race #1. It was a good heat to be in because everyone is slower then him, but there were 4 cars out of the total 7 that would like to beat on him. When the green flag came out to start the race, Chris took off and never looked back. He went on to win his first heat race of the year, but it all got washed out about 15 minutes later by rain. Nothing counted and a whole new show will take place on August 21st.
August 7 Sharon Speedway- Race #10
Saturday turned out to be a bad day throught the entire day. In moring Chris had to go to the funeral of his Great Grandma. At the track things started decent but finished terrible. The heat race went okay. Chris started 6th and finished 6th after getting up to 5th. He was slated to start 7th in the A-Main.
Chris got a good start and was battling for 5th going into turn 1. Going into turn 3 he fell back to 7th but coming out of turn 4 he got back passed the 19 for 6th. Going into turn 1 the 19 blew a right front tire and hit Chris. The contact cut down the left rear tire of Chris and the 19 brought out a yellow. Chris did not know that the left rear was flat since on front wheel drive vechicles the left rear dosen't do anything. On the restart he was in a 4 car battle for 4th. As Chris and the 4m were on the outside of the 23s, the 24s broke a right front tie rod. That brought out a 2nd caution. From then on Chris was in a 3 sometimes 4 car battle for 4th. The 4m, Chris, and the 7 all made there way by the 23s. The 7 then started to beat on Chris. He tried to hook him twice going down the straightaways. He then pounded his way by the got out of control and Chris had no place to go and hit him and turned him sideways. Chris let off the throttle and hit the brakes to let the 7 regain his car. Once the 7 was straight, Chris hit the gas to go by and the 7 drove Chris into one of the tractor tires coming out of turn 4. Chris hit it and came a couple of inches from flipping as he went up on 2 wheels. Chris finished a disappointing 7th when it should have been a 4th or 5th place finish.
July 31 Sharon Speedway- Race #9
The CRM Team had a good run in the heat race. Chris contended for the heat win the entire race and finished in the 3rd spot. After the re-draw Chris was slated to start in the 5th spot for the A-Main.
In the A-Main he was in a good battle for spots 4-6. After a late race restart he was able to get into the 5th place. He did not do it the way he wanted to do though. He drove hard into turn 3 and pushed up into his buddy in the 44 car. The 44 car was able to pass Chris coming out of turn 4 coming to take the checkered flag as Chris pushed to much and lost all of his momentum coming out of the corner. Chris finished 6th and after the race went and apologized to his friend in the 44 car.

July 24 Sharon Speedway- Rain
This was the first week that rain was threaten the racing action for a couple of weeks. Once again the heat race that Chris was in was very competitive. The top 5 were all under a blanket the entire time. Chris ran in third the whole race until he got lose coming out of turn 4 coming to take 2 to go. It slowed him up and he lost his momentum and fell back to 5th. The Big Block heats and features were rained out. Since all of the heats were not completed, the night of racing did not count.
July 17 Sharon Speedway- Race #8
The CRM Team thrashed and finished getting the car back together the Saturday morring on race day. The car ran really good in the heat race and Chris finished 4th, but the top 5 cars were all under a blanket. Chris started 8th in the heat race and was able to work his way up to the 4th place. By the time he got to 4th the front 3 cars were to far ahead for Chris to catch them. If he could have got a caution he could have possibly had a chance at the victory.
July 10 Sharon Speedway- Race #7
Race #7 was a bad race for the CRM Team. In the A-Main the track was very rough and Chris was trying to run the race safe and not hit all of the holes. It wasn't working, so he had to move up and run through them. After about 2 laps of doing that the right front spindle broke and Chris went straight into the wall. Chris was okay just a little shaken up. Results: 1. Michael Scharba 2. Tim Gillette 3. Billie McMurray 4. Stephen Walker 5. Shannon Heberling 6. Ken Koby 7. Randy Sprouse 8. Lucas Sprouse 9. June 29 Trumbull County Fair
It was time for the Trumbull County Fair race once again. Chris wanted to improve on his 4th place finish in the 2009 running at the fair. Chris' heat was a very good one. The top 4 cars were running all together the entire race. Coming out of turn 2 on the last lap the front three were 3 wide and Chris emerged with the lead. Going into turn 3 we lost the lead and by the finish line he fell to third. Chris started on the pole for the feature. Chris instantly fell back to 4th as it took longer for his car to come up to speed then everyone else's. He then dropped back to 5th and was in a good battle the rest of the race for that 5th spot. He was able to finish 5th, but was a little dissapointed that he could not improve on last years result.September 4 Sharon Speedway- Labour day Special August 28 Sharon Speedway- Race # 11 August 21 Sharon Speedway- Rain August 14 Sharon Speedway- Rain August 7 Sharon Speedway- Race #10 July 24 Sharon Speedway July 17 Sharon Speedway- Race #8 July 10 Sharon Speedway- Race #7 June 29 Trumbull County Fair

Chris started on the pole for the Race 6 A-Main. The 14 and the 23s were both able to get a jump on him and Chris was third going into turn 1. The 23s got into the 14 in turn 3 and it put the 14 into the turn 4 wall. That brought out a yellow and the 23s got a flat right rear. The yellow gave Chris the lead back. After the restart Chris was slowly going backwards. On lap 9 of 12 he was in 4th going into turn 3 and the right front wheel broke away from the car and left him. That sent Chris towards the wall where he gave it a little kiss. He finished in the 8th place. Results: 1.) Derek Dellinger 2.) Mike Scharba 3.) Bill Fuchs 4.) Lucas Sprouse 5.) Ken Koby 6.) Race # 5 was the first time that there were races back to back. Rain has plagued Sharon Speedway, but not on the 19th. Chris started 8th in the one and only heat for the hobby stocks. Coming out of turn 4 coming to complete lap #1 Chris got nudged by the 23s. Chris saved it then the 23s body slammed him twice down the frontstrech and Chris repaid the favor once. Coming out of turn 2 on lap 2 Chris got into the 23s and got him loose, but let him save the car. Going through turn 3 and 4 Chris passed him on the outside and once again the 23s turned Chris sideways down the frontstrech. As Chris was trying to save it the 23s T-boned him and drove him to the infield. It ended the night for the 23s. Chris continued to finish the race.
Chris started 8th in the feature also. Chris got a run and got to the outside of the 10 car on the start. The 24s wanted to squeeze Chris into the wall and squeezed the 10 up which squeezed Chris but he kept it out of the wall. Going into turn 1 the 24s body slammed Chris then preceded to take out the 10 car. Chris clipped the left rear of the 10 car with the drivers door and it peeled it wide open. everybody was able to continue. After the restart Chris was able to work his way up to the 5th place. With 2 laps to go the 14 car passed him and Chris finished 6th.

June 12 Sharon Speedway- Race #4
The night was not a good night for the CRM Team. In the heat race the car was running like it had no power. Chris did not finish well and the team was wondering why the car was not running good.
The feature went the same way. Chris just kept going backward and on lap 9 the right front wheel bearing broke and it ended the night for Chris. Check back next week.

May 29 Sharon Speedway- Race #3
It was a very hot night and Chris drew the #1 pill. That put Chris on the pole for the first heat. He got a nice start, but the 3rd place car got a better one. Going into turn 3 on the first lap he was 3rd. After doing a 3 wide move coming out of turn 4 he was in 1st and led for the next 3 laps. His line coming out of turn 2 kept taking him out into the cushion and slowing him up and he finished 3rd in the heat.
Chris started 5th in the feature. He quickly got up to fourth and was running very competitive. After having some contact and then a yellow he still found himself in 4th. About 3 laps after the restart he had worked his way into the 2nd position. He had to fend off a challenge for a couple of laps. Near the end of the race he was catching the leader and if he had about another 3-4 laps he probably could have one it. Check back next week for another update.

May 15 Sharon Speedway- Race #2
There was not a cloud in the sky as the CRM Team went to the track to do some more racing. Chris start 4th in the first heat. He got a great start and jumped to the outside of the 2nd place car and was in 2nd coming out of turn 2. He then fell back to 3rd place and ran there untill about 3 to go. He got passed because the car was getting to much bite and it would bog the car down coming out of the turns. He finished 4th and after the invert it put him in the 3rd place for the start of the feature.
After the heat race, Chirs's dad/crewman told him to try shifting down going into the turn then shift up coming out to keep the car from bogging down. Chris got a bad start in the feature and and fell back to the 5th spot after a caution on the first lap. He then dropped back 2 more spots as the 24s, who had a run in with Chris 2 weeks ago, rubbed down the entire driver's side of the car. About 2 laps after that the 14 turned the 24s and as the 24s was spinning back up the track coming out of turn 4 Chris tried to shoot the hole. Chris got nicked but made it through and it ended the night for the 24s and the 14. (The 14 got black flagged.) That put Chris up into the 4th spot. After dropping back to 5th and passing another car he finished in the 4th position.

May 1 Sharon Speedway- Race #1
The rain held off to allow nice weather for a nice night at the track. The CRM Team showed up and were ready to race. Chris started 3rd in his heat race. He lost a spot at the start end then the car started to come in and he tried to get the 3rd position back. The 24s kept on blocking Chris and there was a lot of contact between the two of them. Coming to take the white flag they got passed by the 5th place car going into turn 3. As Chris was coming out of turn 4 the car just died. That resulted in a 6th place finish. The team was checking over things to try to find out what the problem was. The problem was in the fuel cell. The fuel pump had become disconnected to the fuel pressure regulator which is connected to the fuel line. They got that fixed and started 9th in the feature.
Chris got a decent start. He caught up to the 24s again and was trying to pass him. He kept blocking Chris again and Chris was trying to pass him on the outside. They made a little contact on the front straight-a-way, then coming out of 2 they got together again and it turned the 24s head on into the wall. Chris restarted in the 11th position out of 12 that were left. He steadily gained positions and with about 5 to go there was another caution due to some of the leaders wrecking and Chris found himself in 4th. Chris finished 4th, but due to the 3rd place car getting a DQ he finished in 3rd.

April 10 Sharon Speedway - Special
After a week off because of waiting on parts the CRM Team was back out at the race track. They showed up late because the driver had to make an appearance at his fiance's bridal shower. That meant that the pill draw was over when they got there. Chris was able to go out for a short practice session. It allowed him to check the car out and make sure that everything was fine after the March 27th crash.
Chris had to start in 6th place in his heat which was last place in the heat. He got a nice start but got stuck behind some other cars and was not able to make up to the front real quickly. He worked his way up to 3rd then with about 2 laps to go dropped back to the 4th position. That put him in the 8th starting spot for the 12 lap feature.
In the feature, he once again get an amazing start, but by starting on the outside again he had no where to really go. The car was handling perfect as he was in about a 3 car battle for 5th place. He took the position and set his eyes on the 4th place car. Chris caught him in no time. He was able to catch him in a hurry going into the turn, but then would have no place to go because he would have to go high to try and avoid hitting the 4th place car and that caused him to lose all of his momentum. After doing that for a couple of laps the 6th place car put a move on Chris and drove into the left side of him. The hit caused the handling to go away from probably knocking the toe out. The car didn't handle as well as it had been and Chris started to fade back. He faded back to the 8th place and finished right where he started.
Overall it was a good night. Chris got to learn the track some more and got more experience running on dirt. Check back after the Points Season Opener at Sharon on April 24th.
March 27 Sharon Speedway - Practice
The CRM Team went to Sharon for some practice to get ready for the season. In the 1st practice Chris learned the track rather quickly and was running fast. Before the second practice the track crew watered the track. Chris was still fast, but slid up to high and the moist dirt sucked him right into the wall. It broke the right front spindle and he needed to be towed off. Overall it was a good day. The team was 3rd fastest out of 9 cars that showed and Chris got some important experience of what to do and what not to do on a dirt track.
Jan 9 Mercer Raceway Park- Snowflake 20
Mercer Raceway Park is spose to be a dirt track, but on Jan 9th it was 3/4 ice and 1/4 dirt. The track conditions made for a challenging race as the cars just wanted to slid right off of the track.
Chris drew a bad pill and that put him in the 10th starting spot out of the 11 car field. After a false start the field was able to get 1 lap in before there was a caution for a car that was stuck in the inside snow bank in turn 2. Chris found himself in the 7th spot for the restart. After another quick caution on lap 2 he was up to fifth. It looked like it was going be a good finsih. The race went green the rest of the distance. Chris was hanging right there behind the 3rd and 4th place cars. About lap 13 he was getting pressure from behind and had to step up the pace. By trying to go faster brought on the risk of pushing to high out of the corners and sliding over the banking since the corners were ice. That is exactly what happened to Chris. We the race was completed he found himeself in the 7th spot. The next race will be at Mercer on Mar. 27th for the Chiller Thiller.
Jan 1 Sandusky Speedway- Mr. Heater Hangover Race
On a cold snow winter day, the CRM Team ventured up to Sandusky Speedway for the 31st Annual Mr. Heater Hangover Race. There were a total of 24 Whiskey Stocks which is the equivalent to Mini Stocks. Chris drew pill # 15 and that put him in the 6th position of the second heat. The top 6 out of both heats lined up for the feature on what number pill they drew. That means that if the guy who drew the #1 pill finished in the top six in the heat he started first in the feature.
The heat race started off pretty smooth for Chris. He was in a good battle for the positions 3-7. There was the normal bumping and rubbing that happens in that class. About midway through the race the second place car smacked the wall coming out of turn two. He then slid down in front of the field and Chris whipped the car to the left into the snow. He then had to try to correct it and turned it back to the right and he started to slide up in front of the field. Luckily no one hit him and he went and got his spot back. There was another caution that came late with about 3 laps to go. That is when the snow started to come down heavy. That made the track slick and Chris ended up finishing 5th and that put him in the pill draw line up for the top 12 spots in the feature.
The snow never stopped after the heat race and when it came time for the feature, the track was snow covered and icy. Chris was lined up in the 7th spot and had a plan to take it easy and run the bottom of the track the whole race. That quickly changed. Going into the first turn of the first lap the top 8 cars all went straight and went over the banking and into the grass. Chris was able to keep it close to the track and came back on in about 5th place. Chris was having a really hard time at making the car turn as was everyone else. Everybody was sliding all over the place. About halfway through Chris tried a new line all the way at the top of the track and it worked for one lap then going through turns 1 and 2 for the second time up high, he lost all traction and slid right into the tire barrier right before the concrete wall. He had to be pulled out of the tires and he parked it before anything worse could happen to the car.

June 30 Expo Speedway Trumbull County Fair
Compact Cars and School Bus Racing was the opening event of the Trumbull County Fair. 15 cars showed up for the Compacts and the CRM Team was one of them since the race was less than 2 miles away.
Chris was put on the pole position for the second heat race on the big 5/8 mile racetrack. He checked out from the pack, but as the race continued on the neons made there way to the front of the pack. As the white flag flew, Chris lost the lead going into turn 1. Down the backstretch he went out wide and tried to dive bomb the corner to get the lead back. He was not able to and finished 2nd. That put him in the 5th starting spot for the feature event.
Chris ran most of the race in the 4th position. He ran in a pack of about 4 cars the whole race. He got passed about half way through and was back to 5th position. After a couple of laps he was able to work his way back to the fourth position and help off a couple hard chargers to hang onto fourth.

June 26 Raceway 7 Weekly Show
The CRM Team took the Compact Car to Raceway 7 to do a little test session for the July 4th Enduro at Mercer. Chris ran a respectable night. In the heat race he finished 5th finishing behind 4 other neons. He got more racier as the rust fell off and he started racing. In the feature he ran another respectable race. As he learned the track even more he got faster and faster. He was running 10th coming to take the white flag and as he crossed the finish line, the right front tire chunked apart and Chris dropped to 12th as he limped the car home.
Up next will be the Expo Speedway during the Trumbull County Fair.

There was a total of 67 cars for the 150 lap race. Chris' assigned starting spot was 14th.
Chris got a great start and was up to about 10th coming out of turn 4 for the green flag. By lap 8 he took the lead for one lap. On lap 20 he took it back, but then he came in for a quick pit stop to get his screen cleared off since the track was tacky. On lap 31 he stole the lead back and held onto it until lap 39.
Around the 50 lap mark, problems started happing. The upper radiator hose developed a crack and started leaking. The team made there second pit stop to tape the hole. That lasted about ten laps. They came back into the pits and were able to find a hose that they could use to replace the old one. That cost the team some very precious laps.
Chris was able to run the rest of the race and saw the checkered flag. He completed 133 of 150 laps and finished in 11th place.
Jan 1 Sandusky "Mr. Heater Hangover Race"
The CR Motorsports team went to Sandusky on New Years day to do some winter racing. In the Whiskey Stock class there were 32 cars entered. All of them got to race in the feature event. Chris drew pill #27 and started 10th in the 3rd heat. The top five in each heat got to start in positions 1-15 based off of the pill draw.
The excitement started fast in Chris' heat. Chris was on the bottom of a three wide battle going into turn 1 on the first lap and made contact and spun almost all the way around. No caution was thrown and he kept on going. He wound up finishing in 3rd place and that put him 15th for the feature.
Chris was held up a little on the very start of the race, but that was the only time that he lost any positions. He made a whole lane on the inside running between the inside guardrail and the racetrack. He was running in the snow and passing cars as he did it. He got knocked completely sideways twice and was able to bring the car back straight and did not even lose any spots on the track.
The last five laps he was in a hard fought battle for 5th place. He was able to take the position and had it until the #83 car ducked under him down the frontstretch to take the white flag. Chris held him off through turns 1&2, but lost ground down the backstrech. He tried to do a crossover move in turns 3&4 by braking early into 3. #83 was able to keep his car down and Chris did not want to hit him so he settled for 6th place. The next race in at Mercer on Jan. 3rd for the "Jack Frost 150" Enduro.
